Howdy Pards and Pardettes !!!
I guess, I'll start by sayin', this is Bill Lindholm aka Wimpy Hank Yoho SASS#19831 Life / Regulator and Y'all can see by most of the pics here that I'm into havin' all the Fun I can, and shootin' a little too. My Brother Jim aka Whiney Henry Yoho SASS#19832 Life / Regulator and myself have been into the Cowboy Shooting thing for at least a couple a years now ? We are Life Members of both the Jefferson State Regulators, and the Klamath Cowboys. We are also Members of the Merlin Marauders, the Hawkinsville Claim Jumpers, and Charter Members of the Table Rock Rangers. And consider ourselves Members of the Oregon Old West Shooting Society. I hold a Life Membership in the National Rifle Association and Brother Whiney is a Member of the National Rifle Association as well. We both a Members of the Dooley Gang, and I am a Member of the Dammit Gang ( I am 'Weenie YoYo' Dammit !!! ) as well as a Belle Alley Tom Cat, and I also consider myself 'Marshal of The Pink Posse'.
I served as Marshal / President and Match Director of the Klamath Cowboys for 5 years and Brother Whiney served as Range Master for that 5 years, and served for 2 years as our Territorial Govenor. Our 1st Annual Match was small, drawing only 43 Cowgirls and Cowboys, but our attendence grew ever year, and for our 5th Annual, we had 168 shooters attend, it was the SASS Oregon State Championships.
Over the years, we ( the Lindholm Brothers ) have donated to prize tables across the United States, Europe and Austrailia and even New Zealand. E.O.T's in New Mexico and in California as well as Regionals, State and Annual Matches. We also have donated for Raffles for fundraisers for helping needy Cowboy Action shooters, as well as helping to raise funds for Breast Cancer Research. This year we also donated 5 pair of spurs for our Friends, Maurice Mo Lassess SASS#65309L and Long Jim Hancock SASS#47369 to sell raffle tickets to help raise funds for the Cowboy Memorial Chapel. And believe Me, I do know how important it is to do what you can for others, as it does come back to you. The BEST Folks in the world, We Believe, are the Wonderful People, that make up the membership in SASS !! I am Truly Greatful for all these folks did for me in my time of need, with my illness, and my brothers injuries in the past, those Brothers and Sisters in SASS that stepped up and Prayed for us too at different times is Greater Than You Know !!!
I told the members of our local club many years ago, from my personal point of view, the shootin' match that the club puts on, is the excuse for people to come and visit, and have a good time. I always looked forward to our annual matches as a time ta' roll out the Red Carpet so ta' speak, and welcome our Family, and the one thing that was for sure for me every time, was... IT ALWAYS ENDED TOO SOON !!!!!
Well I know I'll end up with more to add to this, and I will get the Sweet Lady that is takin' care of our website to add more when I think of what it should be ??
